CDR Mark Eugene Davis, USN (Ret.)

LTJG Davis became a Naval Aviator on November 3,1971 at HT-8, NAS Ellyson Field, Pensacola, Florida.  LTJG Davis was Navy Helicopter Pilot Designator Number R-11868.

Mark Eugene Davis, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Keller, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on September 11, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Nellie and Leo Davis, Mark lived a life of dedication, service, and passion.

He proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, where his commitment and expertise shaped the lives of many. Following his distinguished military career, Mark transitioned into the field of technology as a software engineer for IBM, applying his sharp intellect and problem-solving skills to the ever-evolving world of computing.

Mark’s adventurous spirit led him to become a Dive Master and Range Safety Officer, reflecting his love for precision, discipline, and exploration. He was also an active member of the Naval Helicopter Association (NHA) and the Cold War Book Club, where he shared his knowledge, stories, and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts.

Above all, Mark treasured his family. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, TJ Davis, his son Elliot, his daughter Sara, and his cherished grandchildren, Leia and Cohen Davis. His presence, wisdom, and laughter will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
