About NHA Historical Society
The Naval Helicopter Association Historical Society (NHAHS) is a California Non-Profit Corporation Entity Number 2010947 and a US EIN 91-1779399. NHAHS is an IRS 501(c)(3), a California Franchise Tax Board 23701 (d) and a California Attorney General Charity Number 107208, currently headquartered at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), San Diego, CA.
Established May 12, 1997 the organization was formed to collect, preserve and showcase the legacy of Naval Helicopter Aviation. Currently NHAHS occupies Ready Room Two (2) on board the USS MIDWAY Museum and our artifacts and organizational library are at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in majestic Balboa Park. NHAHS collects artifacts, written documents, squadron histories, personal biographies, sea stories, and video thumbnails. Many of these items are currently displayed electronically on this website now!

Naval Helicopter Association Historical Society (NHAHS), PO Box 180678, Coronado, CA 92178-0578. When NHAHS is in their office, the phone number is 619 435-7139, same as NHA and NHASF. One number serves all three and is answered by NHA Staff. There is no on base US Mail delivery and US Mail only for Navy commands is handled by the NAS North Island Post Office. NHA, NHAHS & NHASF US Mail is only received via our Coronado, CA Post Office Box.
Do not try to mail any US Mail intended for NHA, NHAHS or NHASF via the Navy and/or NAS North Island or it will be forever lost. US MAIL only to our PO Box address above.
