About NHA Historical Society

The Naval Helicopter Association Historical Society (NHAHS) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit public benefit, charitable corporation currently headquartered at Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), San Diego, CA. Established May 12, 1997 the organization was formed to collect, preserve and showcase the legacy of Naval Helicopter Aviation. Currently NHAHS occupies Ready Room Two (2) on board the USS MIDWAY Museum and our artifacts and organizational library are at the San Diego Air and Space Museum in majestic Balboa Park. NHAHS collects artifacts, written documents, squadron histories, personal biographies, sea stories, and video thumbnails. Many of these items are currently displayed electronically on this website now!
